Mt. Ulap works beautifully as a traverse because the mountain keeps changing as hikers move along the ridge. Begin from the established jump-off, follow the ridge toward Gungal Rock, continue to the main summit and descend toward the mapped eco-trail exit. Rather than returning over the same ground, the Trip moves continuously across the mountain.
