Vigan's food is best experienced alongside the city itself. Begin with a warming bowl of sinanglaw, move into the famous fried empanada, then sit down within the heritage district before continuing toward Hidden Garden for another side of Ilocano cooking. Most of the early Trip is compact enough to explore on foot, allowing the streets and old city atmosphere to become part of the meal.
